Option to chose if quilified 34 is reset or not
I don't see a way to tel the program that a qualified 34hr reset should NOT be used as a reset. There are times that I may qualify for a reset under the new rules but, because of the "once a week" rule, I may not want to take the reset option. I can see that this is DEFINITELY going to screw me up as we move forward. There MUST be a way to tell the program that a qualified 34hr break will or will-not be use as a "reset".

with the latest changes to the 34 hour reset rule the 168 hour once a week rule is no longer a problem, as for home time sorry.

@ MIKE
Not sure what this has to do with getting time at home...@ everyone
I have been asking for this feature for a year now. Still waiting... I hate wasting 1/4 hr to avoid the reset. -

Having been a company driver an now an O/O I see both sides of this situation. Company drivers are sometimes abused with the reset rule, especially with family events. With an optional RESET trigger after the 34, company drivers might have more control regarding their home and personal time with their families. However, after 168 hrs of service and then 34 off this may be automatic and not an option.

I do not see what difference it makes. The problem is "once a week" Rich

I think their should be a flag or switch to get the 34 hour restart at the end of the 168 hour rule, or put into the system for automatic restart so can start the new week at 70...

You really need an option that you can select if you want a reset to start or not.

Just add a pop up question or switch in the program. We should not have to find a way to work around the program.

I add a 15 minute on duty in the middle of an off day to keep the 34 hour restart from occuring

It makes sense unless you don't actually do it, then you would be falsifying your logbook. So I wouldn't tell D.O.T you did it to break up a 34 hour restart.

I was going to request this option, but the 15 minute PTI makes sense. Any reason to not use that? I suppose that 15 minutes might make or break a run, but not likely.

The 15 minute on duty works but you shouldn't have to do that. Should be a pop up window asking you if you want to restart.

Yeah just add the 15 minute deal. U see the government don't want u to decide when u take it. But it will miss up you run if u don't pay attention.

Just add a 15-minute PTI in the middle. It won't count.
