  1. Toogle on and off the GPS. I use 2 programs on one computer that use GPS. Street Atlas and Eclipse.

    I use virtual serial ports emulator.
    http://www.eterlogic.com
    I can receive GPS from a USB dongle or from a blue tooth GPS device. And split that GPS Data into a com port that can be connected with several programs at the same time. I use Microsoft's streets and trips and the Eclipse log book program both of the same time.
