Record to the minute
Using the control number function record status changes to the minute. With a gps reciver it would eliminate wasted time, recording exactly where and when there is a change.

Please NEVER go to 1 min logs unless it is optional!!! I don't want to give up the 15 min logs. There are a lot of advantages to 15 min logs that would all be lost on 1 min logs...

This is not at all necessary. Goes back to the rule scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Just as you may loose 6.5 minutes on the short side going off duty, I've gained 14 minutes before when I sign back on. In my 30 years of driving I've never had a DOT officer worry about the split in 15 minutes. Worry about something more important like homeless people or animals.
