According to DOT in 395.8 Question # 28 sub 2... pg 521 of the dot big book... "Print a record of the duty status at the end of each 24 hour period, and sign it in his or her own handwriting t certify all entries required by this section are true and correct."
Digitally signed logs are not valid according to the Washington state DOT

I paid for the digital signature and quit using it because its more of a pain than its worth. I had another logbook software before this and their digital signature just appeared once added to the software. Having to stretch out the signature every time royally sux, so I just quit using it hoping these folks will change that aspect of the software. Otherwise I've been using the software several years now, and it rocks. My company tells me all the time they wish other drivers would use this software.

This is the first time I have heard that digital signatures are not accepted, I have been through a few inspections and never had any of them say anything about it. Auto signing would be nice but could definitely be illegal :(
